Arthritic Pain

There are many problems that chiropractors can cure. Likewise, there are problems that cant be cured but can be managed. When a joint undergoes wear and tear (osteoarthritis), a lot of the resultant stiffness, decreased movement, pain, inflammation, muscle spasm, and nerve irritation is due to the dysfunction of the joint during movement. Chiropractic treatment can restore a lot of the function of joints and subsequently influence the secondary painful symptoms. We can not make the joint that has already worn out, grow back to the way it once used to be, but we can manage the condition to bring ease of pain, decreased stiffness and increased ranges of movement.

There are many types of arthritis that chiropractors can assist with, by far the most common is osteo arthritis otherwise know as ‘normal wear and tear’ arthritis.

Chiropractic treatment can be of assistance to patients with Rheumatoid arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis; but need to be treated when the patient is in a non acute/inflammatory phase.
